The programme is centered around the systematic application of behaviour change theory and methods to design, implement and evaluate interventions in the area of physical activity promotion and sport performance enhancement. The students will be equipped to address physical activity and health challenges and support the translation of evidence into practice across disciplines and sectors.

The Master in Sports Physiotherapy online trains physiotherapists in injury prevention, recovery, and performance optimization. It blends online learning with a one-week on-campus session in Madrid. Students also experience the Real Madrid trip, visiting top sports institutions and learning from industry leaders.

This new programme has more flexible entry requirements (e.g. RPL) than the existing MSc in Sport, Exercise and Performance Psychology and also has the option of an exit award after 60 credits completed (e.g. Higher Diploma Award). This degree runs parallel to the existing programme which aligns to the Psychological Society of Ireland accreditation requirements. The purpose of this degree is to offer a pathway for those seeking to upskill on topic areas relating to mental skills and mental health in sport and the degree is not a qualification in psychology. It offers a grounding in research and application for those who seek further training to pursue roles that don’t explicitly require a qualification in psychology (e.g. sports coaching, sports management etc.).

The Bachelor Degree in Physical Activity and Sport Science is an Official Accredited Program by ANECA, the National Agency of Evaluation of Quality and Accreditation.

Through the master’s dissertation in which the qualification finally culminates, a qualifying student would show evidence of independent and original scientific work.

Our Sport and Exercise Physiotherapy programme is designed in collaboration with the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine (ACPSEM) and international organisations such as the International Federation of Sports Physiotherapists (IFSP). Our established programme is suited to qualified physiotherapists, from across the UK and internationally working in a wide variety of sectors that involve managing people with sport or exercise-related injuries.

With this Master's degree, the aim is to acquire advanced, specialized and multidisciplinary training, aimed at knowing the current state of research in the fields of physical activity, sport and health.

The master’s degree in Physical Activity and Education provides specific training in the educational use ofmotor activityin a range of contexts, and provides the knowledge and resources required for research and innovation in this field.

This three-year full-time BSportSci program includes basic and applied sciences of the human body and provides a pathway towards a BScHons (Biokinetics) or a BScHons (Sports Science).
