As an International Centre of Excellence, the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics carries out pioneering research in Biomedicine and therefore provides MSc students with the knowledge and tools to complete a competitive Research Project. MSc Students have the opportunity to attend courses in innovative fields which include Brain and Behaviour, Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience, Neurosciences and Neurogenetics, Cytogenetics and Genomics, Molecular Genetics, Molecular Basis of Monogenic Diseases, Molecular Virology and Immunology and Molecular Basis of Complex Diseases.

With a focus on high-level education, the program emphasizes the development of scientific thinking, critical analysis, and the practical application of research methodologies. By providing training in all methodological aspects of medical research and support for doctoral studies, the program aims to enhance graduates' ability to contribute meaningfully to the improvement of medical practice and population health.

The challenging curricula include mandatory taught courses which cover the main aspects of Neuroscience and a number of elective courses enabling students to broaden their knowledge of other relevant fields. The MSc Research or Library Projects on various aspects of Neuroscience are conducted in the state-of-the-art Departments and Clinics of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING).

The challenging curricula includes mandatory taught courses which cover the main aspects of Molecular Medicine and a number of elective courses enabling students to broaden their knowledge of other fields of Molecular Medicine. The MSc Research or Library Projects on various aspects of Molecular Medicine are conducted in the state-of-the-art Departments and Clinics of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING).

The MSc program Precision Medicine in Clinical Practice has a duration of 3 academic semesters (maximum 8 semesters) and requires the completion of 90 ECTS (60 ECTS courses & 30 ECTS thesis). The University of Cyprus announces Full and Partial scholarships for new applicants in a conventional Ph.D. program. These scholarships are based on academic merit and are either full scholarships (i.e. tuition fees and an annual stipend of equal to €8.000) or partial scholarships (i.e. full coverage of tuition fees).

Our interdisciplinary Master’s programme in Public Health (MPH) offered by the Cyprus International Institute for Environmental and Public Health (CII) has been designed upon the more than 10 years of CII official association with the Harvard School of Public Health. The MPH is accredited by the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance Accreditation in Higher Education and its curriculum is validated by the European Agency for Public Health Education Accreditation. The CII has developed research teams and programs dealing with smoking, diabetes and obesity, air and water pollution and health, epidemiology of cardiovascular and respiratory diseases. Specialized laboratories equipped with human biomonitoring equipment are in full operation. Whether you are a medical doctor, an established public health professional, or new to the field of public health, the unique structure of our MPH programme allows for the acquisition of core practical skills in key areas of public health science and practice, as well as a specialization between one of two concentrations (Environmental Health; or Epidemiology & Biostatistics). The small number of students in class together with the continuous interaction with faculty allows the cultivation of critical thinking and synthesis skills and ensures a high-quality learning experience.

The MSc in Occupational Health is a full-time program which provides a multidisciplinary approach to occupational health management in the workplace, including occupational medicine and hygiene, ergonomics, epidemiology, psychology, public health, risk assessment and management, law and training and development.

The main purpose of the program is to train students on cutting-edge research skills in Cognitive Neurorehabilitation and with capabilities of coordinating relevant research in clinical settings. The aim of the program is to provide students with the opportunity to acquire advanced theoretical knowledge, a deeper understanding of current research and advanced skills in research methods in cognitive rehabilitation of neurological patients. The program also aims to prepare students for postgraduate studies.
