Sacred Heart University's online Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling delivers advanced analysis and problem-solving skills through evidence-based courses taught in an online learning platform. The Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling online program prepares students for careers in counseling-related fields by offering advanced preparation in counseling, testing, and research methods. The program also includes the completion of a practicum consisting of a University-approved counseling setting under the supervision of a licensed psychologist or licensed professional counselor-supervisor (LPC-S).

The Master of Arts in Health and Wellness Coaching prepares students with advanced skills and expertise to help clients clarify and implement health and wellness goals and sustain life-changing behaviours.

Trinity’s Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program offers rigorous academic and professional training in counseling, combining theory, empirical research, and practical experience. The program deeply considers what it means to be human by emphasizing our embodied experiences, our relational needs, and our longing for healing and reconciliation. Grounded in a Christian perspective, we train counselors to consider all elements of their own humanity as they encounter both resilience and suffering in their clinical work. The program welcomes students of all faith traditions and emphasizes the formation of the whole person in the training of each student answering God’s call to bring healing and restoration. The Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program is a part of the Counseling and Psychology Department. The Counselor Education faculty are responsible for the preparation of students in this program. Trinity is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

Engage others in music-making as a means to mental health and wellness. As a music therapy student, explore therapeutic
 applications for music and the creative process, as well as counseling theories and techniques. Receive mentorship from world-recognized faculty and prepare for careers in hospitals, inpatient and outpatient care facilities, community centers, schools, private practice, and community organizations.

Immaculata’s 60-credit Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) and is also in alignment with the requirements for the State of Pennsylvania’s professional counselor licensure (LPC). Upon program completion, successful students will demonstrate the professional knowledge, skills, and practices necessary to address a wide variety of circumstances within the clinical mental health counseling community.

In this degree program, students will practice their technique and gain hands-on experience in research, bibliographic methods, ethical issues, human diversity, psychopathology, diagnosis,
