Introduction
Lynchburg’s Master of Public Health (MPH) program features a concentration in community health and is designed to educate professionals who will support and enhance public and community health locally, regionally, nationally, and globally. Individuals will gain a foundation in all five areas of public health: health behavior and education, health services administration, epidemiology, biostatistics, and environmental sciences.
Students will also gain hands-on experience in the field through course projects and internships. Successful graduates are prepared to take the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing Exam and become Certified Health Education Specialists. The full-time, on-site or hybrid options begin in Fall or Spring semesters with completion in less than 12 months when started in the fall. Students can also enroll in part-time, on-site or online options and complete the program in less than 24 months.
