Starting from academic year 2023/24, the Department of Drug Sciences is introducing a master degree in Industrial Nanobiotechnologies for Pharmaceuticals (LM8 administrative class)

The educational goal of Industrial Nanobiotechnologies for Pharmaceuticals master degree is to create highly specialized professionals able to satisfy the needs of research, manufacture and quality control in the area of nanotechnologies applied to industrial pharmaceutical biotechnology that merge into nanomedicine. This interdisciplinary science combines knowledges in the physical, biological and pharmaceutical and medical areas with the goal of treating human pathologies at atomic and molecular levels by exploiting the peculiar nanomaterial properties.

Entry requirements of students graduated in a non-Italian university

Bachelor’s Degree (strictly Honours type, at least 3 years duration) in one of these disciplines: Biology, Biotechnology, Industrial Pharmacy or Pharmacy, Chemical Sciences and Technologies or other disciplines judged suitable by the Evaluation committee.

Evidence that candidates have acquired a minimum number of ECTS credits or, for titles awarded outside the European Union, the equivalent number of course hours in specific area:

at least 10 ECTS credits or an equivalent number of hours in matemathics, physics, computer science and statistics +

at least 10 ECTS credits or an equivalent number of hours in chemistry and biology

Knowledge of the English language corresponding at least to a B2 level demonstrated by a valid certificate. This requirement does not apply to students who have completed a course of higher education in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, USA, or UK.

The suitability of the Bachelor’s Degree for this MSc is evaluated by an appointed Committee.

Students with suitable BSc must pass an admission exam that will take place online (see section “Other requirements”).

The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / French / Italian / Spanish.

In order to apply for the admission test for this Master Programme, international students must submit a scan of their transcript in English or Italian. Transcripts in Spanish or French are also accepted.

If the transcript provided by your home school is not in English, you will need to obtain official translations along with verified copies of the original.

In order to finalize your enrollment, you must submit the scanned version of your original documents.

Knowledge of English should correspond to at least B2 level of the Common European Framework (CEF).

This requirement does not apply to students who have completed a course of higher education in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, USA, or UK.

A motivation letter must be added to your application.

International students (EU/extra-EU) holding a suitable bachelors’ degree must submit the following documents:

Scan of a their VALID passport (preferably with at least two years until the expiration date) or ID card.

Curriculum vitae in European Format in English.

Scan of their transcript or records in English or Italian with exams taken, marks and credits or hours. The final mark should also be included together with an explanation of the evaluation system.

Scan of the Diploma (if available). Students who did not obtain their Bachelor degree and are expected to graduate before September must send a transcript listing the exams taken and the expected date of graduation.

The scan of the Diploma Supplement (if available) is highly recommended.

The list of relevant exams in matemathics, physics, computer science and statistics, biology and chemistry that you took during your previous study program. Candidates must fill a specific form provided during the application and submit it as pdf.

A short motivation letter (no files must be attached, candidates must fill a dedicated section of the form, maximum length 200-500 characters).

Certificate of English language proficiency at least at B2 level.

International students with suitable curriculum must take and pass an oral admission exam. The interview will be held in English and will be aimed at evaluating the basic knowledge of the candidates in key disciplines required for the access to the course.
