Introduction
Faculty of Veterinary Medicine offers two programs of study:
- Bachelor and Master of Science - Teaching in English, 6 years long program
- Bachelor and Master of Science - Teaching in French, 6 years long program
Short description of the study program (subject area, particularities)
- The candidates have to prove graduation from high-school.
- Admission procedure is based on the final results to Baccalaureate or equivalent (85%), writing of a motivational essay (10%), recommendation letters or volunteering certificates (5%)
- Duration of study: 6 years
- Available places: 15 state-budgeted places for EU citizens, 15 tuition places for non-EU citizens

GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS
a. Romanian citizens as well as the EU/EEA citizens, Swiss Confederation citizens and non-UE citizens can apply for enrolment at this faculty according to the laws in force.
b. The period for submitting the files at the Admission Secretariat of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Bucharest, 105, Splaiul Independentei, District 5, is 02.05.2017 - 18.07.2017. The submission of the file can be made by the candidate personally or by sending the requested documents by ordinary mail. The candidate who choose to send documents by ordinary mail must to make an online registration.
c. The enrolments for the program Veterinary Medicine – Teaching in English will be made only for the first academic year.
A. Romanian candidates who wish to study at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, in the program Veterinary Medicine – Teaching in English will submit the complete file containing the following documents at the Admission Secretariat of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Bucharest during 02.05.2017 - 18.07.2017 period:
- Application form addressed to the Rector and registered;
- High School Graduation Diploma - original; the persons who have graduated the high school in 2017 and did not receive the diploma can temporarily submit the graduation certificate – original – issued by the high school where they graduated the final exams.
- Recommendation letters/volunteering activities certificates
- Birth certificate – notarized copy;
- Identity Card – simple copy;
- Two recent photos;
- Medical certificate which proves that the candidate doesn’t suffer of contagious diseases or other conditions incompatible with this domain.
- Documents to certify the knowledge of English language, B1 level (only for those
- who will not defense the linguistic competence testing);
- Bank statement to prove the payment of the fee for the evaluation of the candidate
- file.
The program of studies Bachelor degree, Veterinary Medicine - Teaching in English provides for the candidates the following available places: - 15 state-budgeted places, these places can be occupied following the admission procedure only by EU citizens; - 15 tuition places, annual tuition being of 3,900 Euro/year; these places can be occupied following the admission procedure by non-EU citizens and EU citizens. B. EU citizens, foreign citizens or Romanian citizens with residence abroad will submit the complete file containing the following documents at the Admission Secretariat of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Bucharest during 02.05.2017 - 18.07.2017 period:
- Application form addressed to the Rector and registered;
- High School Graduation Diploma – original – and its apostilled translation into Romanian, English or French;
- Transcripts of records for all years of study in secondary education (years 9/10 to 12/13) – apostilled translation into Romanian, English or French.
- Recommendation letters/volunteering activities certificates
- Birth certificate – apostilled copy translated into Romanian, English or French;
- Letter of acceptance for studies issued by the National Education Ministry from Romania – International Relations Department (http://www.cnred.edu.ro), for non-EU citizens. The requested documents for issuing of letter will be sent to ministry by University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Bucharest;
- Letter of recognition of studies issued by the National Education Ministry from Romania – International Relations Department (http://www.cnred.edu.ro), for EU, EEA sau Swiss Confederation citizens. The requested documents for issuing of letter will be sent to ministry by University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Bucharest;
- Bank statement to prove the payment of the fee for evaluation of files for issuing the letter of acceptance for studies (non-EU citizens) or letter of recognition of studies (for EU citizens).
- Passport (for non-EU citizen) or identity card (for EU citizen) and 2 simple copies of the passport pages or identity card with the photo, the issuing date and the validity period;
- Two recent photos;
- Medical certificate which proves that the candidate doesn’t suffer of contagious diseases or other conditions incompatible with this domain.
- Documents to certify the knowledge of English language, B1 level (only for those who will not defense the linguistic competence testing);
- Bank statement to prove the payment of the fee for the evaluation of the candidate file.
THE DEFENSE OF LINGUISTIC COMPETENCE TESTING:
The defense of linguistic competence testing will be done for the candidates who cannot present documents which certify knowledge of English language. The testing can be done as follows: - For Romanian candidates with residence in Romania and foreign citizens who submit the registration file personally to the Admission Secretariat in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine will defense the testing at the moment of submission, in the period 02.05.2017 - 18.07.2017; - For the Romanian candidates with residence abroad and foreign citizens who transmit the registration file by ordinary mail will defense the testing on line (Skype), according to a preliminary schedule, in agreement with the candidate and Secretariat of Admission, in the period 02.05.2017 - 18.07.2017. The evaluation of the candidates will be granted with ADMITED/REJECTED. The result will be communicated to the candidate after finishing of testing. The candidates which are citizens of the countries where the official language is English, and also those who can prove that they have certificates of knowledge issued by recognized and habilitated institutions will not defense this examination.
DEFENSE OF THE “OPTION MOTIVATION TO BECOME A VETERINARIAN AND FOLLOWING THE STUDIES IN THE FACULTY OF VETERINARY MEDICINE BUCHAREST (ESSAY)”
The essay will present personal motivation of candidate with respect to the election of veterinary profession, insisting on previous personal experience in animal husbandry and/or care and the mission of a future veterinarian. The developing of the text will consider „key words” which will be communicated to candidates on http://en.fmvb.ro. The essay will have 600-1200 words.
The submission of the essay will be done on line. The evaluation of the essay will be granted with grades between 1 and 10. The grade of the essay will represent 10% from final grade of the admission contest.
