Introduction
The Seattle University Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program offers nurses with bachelor’s degrees and college graduates with no health care background the opportunity to play a formative role in the transformation of health care. As an Advanced Practice Nurse, you will have the opportunity to offer care for individuals and families in a range of health situations, from high-risk health situations accompanied by physical and psychosocial stressors, to long-term patient care. Our Doctors of Nursing Practice are sought after for their mission-driven intellect and skill sets and are recognized throughout the industry as uniquely compassionate care providers and leaders.
Pursuing doctoral study at our nationally acclaimed College of Nursing leads to a practice doctorate in nursing, with a rigorous curriculum and access to hands-on experience in our state-of-the-art Clinical Performance lab. Non-nurses can earn their clinical doctorate in four years. RNs with bachelor's degrees can earn their DNP in three years. RNs with a master's degree can earn their DNP in two and a half years.
