Introduction

Prepare for advanced practice nursing roles specializing in primary care with the online MSN: Family Nurse Practitioner program at King University. This CCNE-accredited program emphasizes evidence-based practice, outcomes management, clinical research, and advanced clinical decision-making to prepare you for practice in the primary care setting.

Coursework is delivered in a flexible online format designed for working nurses with busy schedules. Complete the program in 20 months and graduate ready to site for the Family Nurse Practitioner certification exam through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Our cohort-based program design ensures collaboration with your peers and our experienced nursing faculty members. Throughout your studies, you will complete 600 clinical practicum hours with clinical placement assistance provided by our dedicated placement coordinator. Certification preparation coursework is integrated into the FNP curriculum.

Graduates of King’s MSN FNP program are qualified to apply for advanced practice nurse licensure as appropriate in their legal state of practice, upon passing the national FNP certification exam. An unencumbered RN license and a BSN degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited school are required for admission to this program. Students who complete their BSN degree at King University may qualify for guaranteed admission into the MSN FNP program.
