ICBAS School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Porto is a multidisciplinary faculty dedicated to life and health sciences. Embracing the One Health concept, it fosters a holistic approach, integrating human, animal, plant, and environmental health.
ICBAS School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences is a multidisciplinary and multiprofessional Faculty of the University of Porto. Our mission, as a university school and teaching center, is to create and disseminate knowledge in the areas of life and health sciences, in close collaboration with the university and the external community. Our scientific fields are in the scope of Fundamental and Applied Biology, Benefiting from the multidisciplinarity that characterises us, our moto is the One Health concept, which objective is to approach the health theme through a holistic view, to promote the interrelation of the various aspects of the term “health”, highlighting human, animal, plant and environmental health.
