Health Care Programs in Slovakia 2025

Faculty of Pharmacy, Comenius University Bratislava offers a Master’s Degree Study Programme in Pharmacy in the English language and Ph.D. Degree studies in four pharmacy-related specializations to about 100 international students. The Pharmacy Master Study Programme (combined Bachelor´s & Master´s degree) extends for five years (10 semesters). It leads to the degree of Magister of Pharmacy (Mgr.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmDr.) after passing an additional rigorous thesis defence. The Slovak pharmacist diploma is internationally recognized in all European Union countries and several other states.

Graduates are qualified for the post-doctoral study and are competent to work in the following areas: small animals clinics, large animals clinics, exotic animals clinics and ZOOs, game reserves, food safety and quality, pharmaceutical industry, research and development, teaching and consultancy, ecology

Dentistry is an independent medical branch, which includes diagnostics, prevention, and treatment of the oral cavity and teeth diseased states. The extent of general medical knowledge is in the content required for health prevention with a special orientation for health and diseases of the oral cavity in connection with the whole organism.

The undergraduate study branch of General Medicine provides general natural science education that is based on a human and ethical basis. The study is completed with complex education focused on diagnostics, differential diagnostics, therapy and prevention of diseases.

The Department of Nursing educates students in the study programme Nursing in the Bachelor degree study which is accredited by the requirements of the European Union and whose diploma is recognized in all the member states of the European Union. Furthermore, the Department offers a variety of speciality studies for professionals from practice.
