The Faculty of Health Sciences at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is dedicated to excellence in the education and training of doctors and medical professionals, as well as to excellence in medical research of all kinds. The mission of the FOHS is to educate medical professionals who consider patients holistically, within their familial, social, and cultural contexts. This unique community-centered approach is evident in our applicant screening process, which is based on individual interviews, student involvement in community health projects, and in the curriculums of our various schools and programs, emphasizing the bio-psycho-social approach.

The MSc in Brain Sciences provides comprehensive multidisciplinary training with hands-on research experience in brain studies. The Center offers a wide variety of laboratories that use advanced research technologies and engages in basic brain science, as well as in clinical trials. Graduates of the MSc program in Brain Sciences are prepared to spearhead research in academia, the industry, and clinical environments.

The Masters of Optometry Program at JMC was established 16 years ago. The Optometry Department was established 28 years ago and has been leading the field of optometric education in both undergraduate and graduate studies. Jerusalem Multidisciplinary College, formerly Hadassah College has vast experience running online, in-person, and hybrid international courses with world-renowned lecturers worldwide.

The program focuses on maximizing human performance and understanding how exercise can enhance health over a lifespan. Courses are taught by International leaders in the world of sport and exercise science.

The faculty of Biology offers graduate study programs for Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. These programs are intended for students who already have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Life Sciences, or a bachelor’s or master’s degree in another scientific field or Engineering, although in the latter case, some additional courses may be required.

Students in the Department of Biomedical Engineering receive extensive training in both the medical and engineering fields. The aim is to train engineers who will be able to conduct and lead research and development projects in both the University research environment and the dynamic high-tech world, as well as to develop and provide support for engineering equipment in hospitals.

The Department of Pre-Med Education of Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson School of Medicine invites you to join the International Pre-Medical (B.Sc.) Academic Program (IPAP) in English. The IPAP is unique in Israel and it is designed to accommodate both international and Israeli students (including repatriates/Olim). The program is based on the university’s Hebrew language Pre-Med undergraduate studies, which is approved by the Israel Council for Higher Education (MALAG/CHE) and has been an integral part of the curriculum at Ariel University for several years now.

The “Master of Science” (with a thesis) program provides students with broad knowledge and a high level of expertise in a particular field. Students are required to follow a specialized study program, conduct research, and submit a research thesis.
