The current pandemic poses a particular challenge for both new and well-experienced professionals working with older adults in hospitals, nursing homes or even at home. The challenges of COVID-19 are ever-reminding that a top priority for patient safety is the strict adherence to hygiene standards.

Going beyond the format of traditional medical instruction, EDU’s Bachelor of Medicine is inspired by the most reputable modern medical schools in the world. The point of departure for the development of the curriculum is the WFME Global Standards as published by the Institute for International Medical Education (IIME) Core Committee.

The last six months, many hospitals have been preparing for the expected intake of COVID-19 patients with considerable effort and commitment. Moreover, doctors and nursing staff from other areas will also rotate to intensive care and require preparation. In cooperation with the Clinic for Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine (KAI) of the University Hospital of Bonn, EDU has recorded seven modules on COVID-19 in intensive care.
