The Associate of Science in Nursing Program is designed to prepare graduates to become effective nurse clinicians capable of sound clinical judgment in a variety of healthcare settings. The curriculum enables students to acquire principles and knowledge from natural and behavioral sciences and blend this coursework with the art of nursing. The integration of theory and clinical practice is designed to assist the student in the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

The Radiologic Technology program, which is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), is designed to prepare students to function as certified radiologic technologists. Students will gain knowledge and understanding of the diagnostic uses of X-rays, as well as the technical skills to use x-ray equipment in both laboratory and clinical settings. The courses are developed to enable students to operate x-ray equipment, assist in the diagnosis of disease, and observe proper medical ethics. Students will learn the nature of radiation, the principles of electricity, the structure of x-ray machines, and the operation of a clinical x-ray department.

The Vocational Nursing curriculum is accredited by the California Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician Examiners. Graduates of this program are eligible to apply for the California state examination to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).

West Liberty University’s Associate Degree Dental Hygiene Program is committed to creating an educational environment that fosters competence in oral health professionals who are capable of thinking critically and solving problems while being responsible decision-makers when delivering dental hygiene care.

Respiratory Care, AS practitioners work with patients who may have a variety of lung and/or heart disorders. Although most respiratory care practitioners work in hospitals, other employment opportunities are available. There are also excellent opportunities for in-home care and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.

The Associate of Science in Radiographic Science degree is a three-year program of study. The first year of pre-professional courses includes General Education Core and support courses. Professional courses include study and practice in the clinical application of radiographic procedures for the purposes of imaging all parts of the human body for medical diagnosis. Practice will be in community hospitals and clinics. Graduates of the program are eligible to complete the certification examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Applicants to the Pre-Veterinary Program may major in any discipline at the undergraduate level. Since the required courses for admission tend to be heavy in the sciences, most students at Siena Heights aspire to study for these professions majoring in biology.
