goals
The Master's Degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biomedicine aims to provide students with advanced academic and research training that allows them to start a research career with access to a Doctorate. This University Master's Degree aims to achieve excellent training in the study of molecular processes that take place in living beings, and in the use of current bioinformatics techniques necessary for emerging areas such as genomics, proteomics or metabolomics.
Furthermore, this University Master's Degree aims to train future researchers with solid knowledge of Molecular Biomedicine, who can work on the frontier of basic and clinical research and carry out high-quality translational research in hospitals, universities and biomedical research centers.
Recipients
These studies are aimed at students whose future work focuses on four activities:
- Research in the fields of Biochemistry and Molecular Biomedicine;
- University teaching;
- Health biotechnology;
- Industrial biotechnology (management and control of biotechnological processes).
Of all of them, the first two are the main ones, in terms of occupation, since they affect around 80%, and it is the reason why the proposed Master's Degree has an academic and research orientation.
The University Master's Degree will train graduates in Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, or Chemistry to access the Doctorate and to carry out their future research activity in public or private organizations or centers, as well as in the pharmaceutical industry. In addition, the Master will provide advanced academic training applicable to university teaching, scientific dissemination and management within the area of knowledge of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biomedicine.
Why study this master?
The objective of the Master's Degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biomedicine aims to provide a solid preparation that allows graduates to carry out their research activity in both the academic and productive sectors. A preparation is offered that allows the transmission of knowledge at different levels and research in specialized areas in the field of Molecular Biosciences.
Admission requirements for masters
Non-enabling university masters
- Be in possession of any of the following titles:
- Spanish official university degree.
- Title issued by an institution of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and empowering in the country of issue for access to Master's education.
- Title of educational systems outside the EHEA that empowers in the country of issuance for access to Master's education, homologated or declared equivalent to the degree and academic level of Degree or Degree by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training . In case of lacking the mentioned homologation or equivalency, it will be necessary to have authorization or access permission granted by this University.
- Or be carrying out studies leading to the obtaining of any of the previous degrees during the course in which the pre-registration is carried out and be in a position to prove the obtaining of the same before the date established in the corresponding call (see href = "https: //www.ucm.es/requisitos-de-admision-a-masteres ).
- In addition, students from foreign educational systems, whose mother tongue is different from Spanish, must prove level B2 of the Spanish language (or higher) .
- Specific requirements that any of the requested masters may have. You can consult it by accessing the website of the Master itself.
