The main therapeutic resource of this new approach is Phytomedicine, that is, the use of medicinal plants for the prevention and cure of diseases, both in humans and animals. The great biological diversity of the region, its important interaction with ancestral cultural groups, and recent research validating its use through scientific evidence are factors that anticipate a positive interaction for the benefit of patients, who would be treated with a comprehensive vision of their health and sickness. This course will provide the student with the fundamental principles for the recognition and use of medicinal and food plants and their derived products in health care, from the theoretical bases of botany, agrotechnology, phytochemistry, pharmacognosy, and pharmacology, to plant therapies. focused on the various anatomical and physiological systems. The use of medicinal plants and derived products has shown that it is a widely accepted therapy, which presents an important level of trust among the population, is characterized by greater general availability of therapeutic resources, generates a certain degree of personal sovereignty and national in drug management and could contribute to a more just and universal medicine for the benefit of all sectors of the population. -

This program endorsed by the Da Vinci University of Guatemala, through its Master's Degree in Psychological Approach to Sexual Abuse and Trauma, has the mission of training competent professionals, researchers with the ability to analyze, understand and evaluate complex processes of the human being, involved in psychodynamic situations generated by psychological trauma.
