Introduction
The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is a fully accredited program through the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). The Kerkorian School of Medicine in Las Vegas, Nevada, is pleased to announce an Adult Critical Care Fellowship administered within the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine of the Department of Internal Medicine and is open to physicians who completed residency training in Emergency Medicine or residency/subspecialty training in Internal Medicine. The 2-year program will train 3 fellows per year beginning in July 2019 at the University Medical Center (UMC) of Southern Nevada. As a tertiary care referral center, UMC offers Nevada’s highest level of care with 7 adult critical care units serving the 2 million residents of Clark County, as well as over 40 million tourists visiting Las Vegas each year. The Critical Care Division has 11 fellowship-trained UNLV faculty members whose goal is to be the premier academic center for critical care physician education through research, innovation, and collaboration between the critical care services offered by the Departments of Emergency Medicine, Trauma and Acute Care Surgery, and Internal Medicine. The fellowship is fully ACGME-accredited and fulfills all requirements for Board certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
