An associate of arts is a two-year degree program that focuses on disciplines within the arts and humanities. Depending on the school they choose, students may be able to apply the credits they earn while getting their AA towards a four-year degree program.

Part-time learning allows one to obtain a degree or qualification even if one cannot attend school on a full-time basis. One can learn at one's own pace, gradually accumulating credits that count towards a final qualification.
